Ashvin Chadha has spent the last decade working in the financial services industry both in India and the United States. He started his profession career as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley in New York. He then joined General Atlantic LLC, a worldwide private equity firm, where he was based in the New York City and Greenwich offices. Ashvin moved to India in 2006 to join a small team that set up the Mumbai office for India Equity Partners (IEP). He has recently moved to Delhi to set up a family office fund where he is investing in equity and debt securities of Indian companies. Ashvin has extensive experience investing in growth companies with specific expertise working with financial services, consumer, media, infrastructure and healthcare companies. Ashvin has served as a director, board observer or key contributor for several companies in India and the United States. Ashvin has significant expertise in the financial services sector. He led IEP’s investment in Manappuram Finance, India’s largest publically listed gold lending NBFC. Ashvin served as a Director on the Board of Manappuram Finance and was instrumental in the Company’s growth in Assets under Management (AUM) from Rs. 700cr to Rs. 6500cr over the last 3 years. Ashvin completed his education from Wesleyan University and The London School of Economics. In his free time, Ashvin enjoys playing golf and travelling with his wife and daughter.

Avinash Singh
Avinash Singh

Avinash has close to two decades of rich experience in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Global Cross Border Collaboration, Software Product Development, Offshore Outsourcing and Professional Services.
Avinash is currently the CEO and MD of Excel Ventures, an early stage Private Equity fund which invests in the Technology, Healthcare and Education segment primarily in the Indian market.
He has a deep understanding of Viral Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Web 2.0 Frameworks and their application to socio-behavior patterns and networks of various consumer demographics.
Avinash was a founding member of Birlasoft and was responsible for the initial setup of the company, which included establishing the infrastructure, building the team and setting up the required systems and processes for global operations. As Chief Operating Officer, Avinash was responsible for global operations across the USA, Europe, APAC, Japan and Middle East markets. His prime areas of focus was in the Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare and Technology Industries.
Avinash was the first employee of the company that was setup in 1990. He worked with Birlasoft till January 2008. In this period he built the company from scratch to what is today a 5000 person organization with annualized revenues of close to $ 180M.
He is a dynamic and passionate leader who led the organization through various transformations from a US based software services company to what is today a respected Global Solutions company which is part of the Nasscom Top 20.
He was responsible for acquiring a number of the significant customers which include GE – a contract which has accrued over US$ 300M over the last 5 years and is expected to add another 200M in the next 2 years of the existing contract tenure, other major customers acquired and managed in recent times include Citibank, Monster, UTC, Quest Diagnostics, Credit Suisse, Centex Homes, Sage Software, Hollywood Video, Fidelity, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi and a number of others.
As the Marketing Leader he crafted and led various high impact initiatives including a recent one which resulted in positioning Birlasoft extremely favorably in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. He has relations with various Industry though-leaders and Analysts such as Gartner, TPI, Forrester, Neo-IT, Nasscom etc.
He has experience dealing with C Level and Board Executives of Fortune 500 type companies globally, He has worked and traveled extensively in various parts of the world including the US, Europe, the Far East, India and Australia.

Avinash Vashistha is Chairman and Managing Director for Accenture in India. In this role, he is responsible for all Accenture activities in India and for the strategic direction, growth and development of the company’s business in this geography.

Before joining Accenture in January 2011, Avinash was Chairman and CEO of Tholons, a global strategic advisory firm for outsourcing, research, investment and education serving Fortune 500 and Global 1000 clients. Earlier in his career, he founded neoIT, an offshore advisory firm, and prior to that, led Nortel’s pioneering outsourcing efforts in US, UK and India.

He started his career with AT&T Bell Labs, USA and later ran European operations for Nortel Networks based out of UK. He is a pioneer in globalization and was instrumental in growth of the IT and BPO industry in US, India, Philippines. He is a known thought leader in the industry and co-authored the book "The Offshore Nation".

His experience spans developing and executing strategies for services globalization, skills development and employability across countries in Latin America, Asia, Europe and North America.

Avinash is also an Executive Council member of NASSCOM.

Avinash holds an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, a master’s in Computer Science from the University of Alberta and an MBA from Arizona.

An entrepreneur for over 25 years, Hari is the founder of Ontrack Systems Limited ( www.ontrackindia.com ) , an ICT company headquartered in Kolkata, India employing 250 professionals in six countries . Hari has led and executed the acquisition(s) strategy for the company and also led the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Ontrack . Hari was one of the early adapters of the internet ( 1996) and his portal www.calonline.com ( Calcutta Online ) was a very popular portal which was subsequenly acquired by a NASDAQ listed company in 1998-99 . Hari subsequently founded www.tendertimes.com , India's first tendering portal and acquired www.indiaonestop.com , India's earliest B2B information portal.He is currently the Chairman and Managing Director of Ontrack Systems Limited .

Prior to starting Ontrack, Hari was a Systems Engineer with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited ( BHEL ) where he championed the usage of Personal Computers (PC) in place of Mini and Main frame computers .

Hari earned a BE ( Bachelor of Electrical Engineering ) from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur. Bhanu is a seasoned entrepreneur with an experience of over 12 years in SaaS (software as a service) offerings, strategic IT consulting and large systems integration projects. Bhanu founded RateGain in 2004 – an award winning travel technology company offering SaaS based solutions to travel and hospitality industry. RateGain has many of the Fortune 500 Travel and Hospitality companies as it customers and was recognized as one of the fastest growing technology companies by Deloitte for past 4 consecutive years (2007-2010) as part of Deloitte Fast50 India (fastest 50 technology companies out of India) and Deloitte Fast 500AsiaPac. Bharathram Thothadri
Bharathram Thothadri

Bharath is the Managing Director of the Risk and Information Management Global Center of American Express. In this capacity he leads a 500+ member analytical/scientist team based in India (offices in Gurgaon and Bangalore) that works on all aspects of American Express' global business. In particular, the team applies advanced quantitative techniques on data to drive strategy. He reports to the Chief Risk Officer of the company.

Bharath has been in various roles in American Express since 1998, starting his career in the New York office. He has led teams that have created analytical innovations that have driven significant profitable growth for the company. He was a board member of the US Small Business Financial Exchange, and a voting member of various global risk committees. In his current role, he has led the growth of the India team into new areas such as Big Data and analytical consulting, thereby enabling the creation of new revenue streams for the company. He is on the board of American Express (India) Pvt. Ltd.

Previously, Bharath was in the Tata Administrative Services, where he worked on initiatives across various Tata group companies.

Chris Mathias
Chris Mathias

Chris was born and raised in India. He studied Politics and Economics at Bristol University before joining Arthur Andersen. He completed an MBA at INSEAD, Paris in 1987, graduating on the Dean's List and then joined Bain & Co's London office.

He was for a while CEO of the Harpur Group. In a very active career he has completed a number of successful business turnarounds and buyouts. With Martin Gill he founded Conduit Communications Ltd, substantially growing the business and opening offices in London, Amsterdam, New York and Boston. In 1999 Conduit merged with an American based IT services provider I-Cube and was subsequently acquired by NASDAQ listed Razorfish Inc.

Chris is trustee and board member of several organizations including World Links and Common Purpose.He supported the start-up of Basic Needs India and he is also an Ambassador for Action Aid and supporter of and advisor to Oxfam GB.More recently he was a founder of the British Asian Trust and has joined the board of Bioss and the advisory board of Barclays Private Bank.

Chris is the chairman and one of the seed funders of i2india, a technology commercialisation and investment company focused on creating commercial value from intellectual property developed in India.

Chris is active with a number of charities and not-for-profit organisations. Organisations and projects that make a difference beyond the lifetime of a funding commitment are of particular interest. Through these, Chris is able to fulfill his belief that charities should work to build lasting value, develop local skills and help the poorest citizens of the world.

Projects that involve the use of ITC in education and international developments are also close to his heart, as are those that relate to India.

Dan Sandhu

Dan started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, based out of the UK and Hong Kong.He moved to Mitsui Babcock as a Commercial Manager overseeing capital projects in China as well as managing relationships with financial institutions in Europe, Asia and the US.

After a brief stint at a media business managing commercial contracts as well as scouting new business opportunities in Russia, Poland, Romania and Greece, he joined the founding team of an outsourcing business.As Finance Director, he was part of the executive team that led this start-up to a 2,500 strong organization.After leading the financial and commercial functions, where he was instrumental in funding raising, he moved to become CEO of the business in India.

As the CEO, he led the India business from start-up to a team of over 2,800, traveling extensively between the UK, US, India and S.E. Asia, liaising with clients and partners.The business was acquired by Vertex.He was instrumental in developing innovative people practices which were widely recognised and replicated in the industry. He stepped into the role of Chairman in 2006. Vertex was acquired by a private equity consortium in 2007.Dan remained Chairman until 2008.

Upon his return to the UK he joined a private equity backed technology business, ACIS, as CEO.He built up an exceptional management team to help transform this business to deliver significant contract wins in the UK and International markets.ACIS was acquired by Vix Technology in 2010.

He is currently actively involved with the UK India Business Council and is a Regional Ambassador of the Next Generation Initiative in the East of England.He remains an active member of the Indian Angel Network having been part of the founding group and is a Charter member of TiE.

Deep Kalra, Founder & CEO, MakeMyTrip.com
Deep is the pioneer of Online Travel in India. His company, MakeMyTrip.com is the dominant player in the travel industry and also the largest ecommerce business in India. Deep established the company in April 2000 by drawing on his experience from successful stints at GE Capital, AMF Bowling Inc. and ABN AMRO Bank.
Under his stewardship, MakeMyTrip.com has grown rapidly to become thelargest online travel agency in India and also one of the largest travel companies in the country. The company is on track to achieve sales of Rs. 2500Cr. and revenues of Rs. 225Cr. in the current fiscal.

Deep is a member of the Executive Council of Nasscom and chairs the Nasscom Internet Working Group. He is also a Charter Member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) and serves on the Board of TiE New Delhi. Deep is a member of CII’s Tourism sub-committee and a regular speaker at internet and travel conferences. He currently serves as an Independent director on IndiaMart.com, a leading B2B website. Deep is a founding member of "I am Gurgaon", an NGO focused on the improving the quality of life in Gurgaon.

Born in 1962, Deepak K. Chhabria is the Managing Director of Finolex Cables Limited. He finished his school from Sevenoaks, Kent, in England and then completed his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from University of Evansville Indiana, USA.

Deepak got his first training in 1985 from Bajaj Tempo Ltd., manufacturer of three and four wheeler Vehicles. He joined Finolex Cables Ltd. as Dy.Production Manager in 1986. Deepak was actively involved in setting up 9 different manufacturing Plant across 4 locations in India. Under his able guidance, the Company now produces a variety of electrical and communication cable products, copper rods, electrical switches, Compact Fluorescent lamps and PVC Sheets.
Mr.Chhabria is also the Chairman of Finolex J-Power Systems Pvt. Ltd., a Project being set up in a Joint Venture with J-Power Systems, Japan to produce power cables upto 500 KV. The only Indian Company to have this capability when the Project goes live. J-Power Systems itself is a joint venture between Sumitomo and Hitachi of Japan. Mr.Chhabria has also served as the Chairman of CII-Pune Chapter in 2008. Deependra Moitra

Deependra Moitra is a strategy & innovation consultant and an active mentor/advisor to several entrepreneurial ventures. He consults with industrial and government organizations globally and his clients include leading multinational corporations, new high technology ventures, and private equity firms spread across North America, Europe, and Asia. He has two decades of experience with a proven track record in establishing and leading high performance organizations, incubating business growth opportunities, and managing global R&D footprints. He is also a frequent speaker at major industry forums and conferences.

Prior to launching his consulting practice, Deependra served as General Manager (R&D) at Infosys Technologies and Lucent Technologies. At Infosys, he was instrumental in shaping the company’s nonlinear growth strategy and spearheaded a very successful services innovation initiative, encompassing emerging technologies R&D, business technology consulting, and intellectual property commercialization.

At Lucent, he was part of the founding team and played a key role in establishing a large software product R&D organization. Earlier, he held various positions with Siemens Communications Software and ISRO.

Deependra received a B. Tech. (Hons) degree from the University of Calicut and earned his Ph.D. from the Rotterdam School of Management.

Born in 1958, Chandra has been part of the IT industry for more than 25 years. Of these, he was involved for about 17 years as a first generation Entrepreneur.  .

Chandra completed his engineering (Electronics & Communications) from the College of Engineering, Madras in 1979 and has also attended an Entrepreneurial Development Program at IIM, Bangalore. Chandra started his career with A V Thomas Software Research Company and worked in the Hinditron group and Advent Computer Services before he founded and launched Linc Software at Koramangala Bangalore in 1988.

From 1988 to May 2005, Chandra was the CEO & Chairman of Linc Software. The company grew into a mature and professionally managed company with offices in 6 countries across 3 continents before it merged into MindTree in 2005. He has a sound understanding of business practices in the US, Europe, Australia and Asia Pacific, having created and maintaining client and partner relationships in varied industry segments in these regions.

May 2005- Oct 2006 ; He was the Executive Vice President at MindTree Consulting, Bangalore. He was initially responsible for integrating the two organizations. He then focused on a few strategic initiatives at Mindtree and later integrated MindTree’s business in the Asia Pacific region as a profit centre.

Since 1st Oct 2006, He has chosen to move out of corporate activities and now shares his experiences with other entrepreneurs. He is also involved as an Advisor at LabourNet, Project Director in a Swiss India VET Initiative, Investor / Mentor of Emilios Cafes and supports an NGO called GIVEINDIA.

Chandra enjoys the occasional game of billiards/snooker and was a keen hockey player in his college days.  He is an active Rotarian and keen to spend a good deal of his time in socially relevant activities.

Chandra is married to Kalpana, a home-maker, and they have two sons, Naveen and Ashwin. They reside in Bangalore and Chandra’s father lives with him.

Ganesh is currently the President and Managing Director for Dell in India. Dell is reaching $2billion revenue in the India market and its 25,000 people strong presence in India ranges across manufacturing, sales, contact center, analytics, managed services, R&D, Dell-IT, and back-office processing. Ganesh is the corporate leader for Dell in India for all these functions spread across eight locations and responsible for its transformation from a hardware leader to be the top solutions provider in the Indian market and developing Dell India to be the engine for Dell’s global growth. Ganesh also heads the Global Consumer, Small and Medium Business Services at Dell. In this role, he is responsible for the $600m point-of-need services business and delivery of warranty and value added services across all channels. He manages one of the largest work-force for Dell which spreads across twenty global locations. Ganesh joined Dell in 1999 and has held increasing responsibilities in various geographies, functions, and segments. Before he moved to India, Ganesh worked in Austin for four years where he was the Director of e-Support operations for Dell’s Home and Small business segment and later ran the e-business (online sales and service) group for Dell America’s business unit. Ganesh was instrumental in starting Dell operations in India ten years ago. He led the planning and start-up of Dell’s first call center at Bangalore in 2001. Ganesh also led the aggressive business development effort to grow the operation to 13,000 people and six sites in six years across India and Philippines. Ganesh became the Managing Director of Dell International Services, the BPO functions in India and also was made responsible for the US Consumer Services Business. Then he was promoted to lead the Global Consumer Services group for Dell. In this role, Ganesh was responsible for building the half a billion dollar post-sale services business for consumer segment globally and leading the largest global work force for Dell with highest levels of employee satisfaction. Before joining Dell, Ganesh worked in the consulting industry for eight years. Ganesh has an MBA with high distinction from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and BS in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University in Chennai, India Ganesh is an elected member in the NASSCOM executive council which is the industrial body for Indian IT/ITES sector. He is also in the executive council of FICCI which is the largest industry body in India.

Ganesh has been one of the most successful professionals in the Indian Information Technology Industry, having earlier been part of two major success stories in IT Training and Consulting, NIIT and APTECH. During his ten year stint as CEO of Aptech he grew the company’s revenues fifty times and listed it on the Indian and London Stock Exchanges.

A Gold Medalist in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering, Ganesh has recently completed his PhD in Knowledge Management at IIT Bombay. He is the author of three McGraw Hill Books on Business Process Reengineering and Knowledge Management and has also authored a book titled ‘Winds of Change’. He is a regular columnist for India’s premier Business and IT magazines.

Ganesh was named 'CEO of the Year' by the Asia Pacific HR Conference in 1999 and received the Wisitex Foundation’s 'CEO of the Decade – Knowledge Award' from India’s Minister for Information Technology in 2000. In July 2005, he received the Asia HRD Congress Award for Contributions to the Organisation through HR. Ganesh was also the finalist at the Ernst & Young 2005 Award where he was recognized for exceptional entrepreneurship.

Ganesh chairs the Outsourcing Forum of the Confederation of Indian Industries in Western India. He has been elected Chairman of the NASSCOM Innovation Forum for 2005-07. Ganesh has also been elected Vice Chairman of Nasscom in April 2007 and will lead the industry association through until March 2009.

Ganesh is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and the Harvard Business School.

Former Partner, Goldman Sachs and Co. Hank Uberoi is currently an investor in private and public companies globally with particular interest in the US, UK and India. He is a Director of several companies and organizations including Marco Polo Network, Inc., NY, a provider of execution services for emerging market securities, and Bloomfield College, Bloomfield, NJ. He was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Bisys Group Inc., a NYSE listed company.

In November 2006 he was appointed by Governor Corzine as the Chairman of the Technology Governing Board for the State of New Jersey.

Until April 2004 he was the Chief Operating Officer and head of a large Equities Investment Business at Citadel Investment Group, one of the largest hedge funds where he was on the Management Committee of the firm.

Hank joined Citadel in 2002 from Goldman Sachs, where he spent 14 years, most recently as a partner and co-COO of the Technology Division. While at Goldman, he served on several governance boards, including the firm’s Compensation Committee and the Technology Operating Committee. Hank spent five years in London in the early '90s during Goldman’s rapid international expansion.

He graduated from Williams College, Massachusetts with a BA, Magna Cum Laude, in Computer Science and Physics.
