Amitabh Shrivastava runs an angel stage investment firm called Rhombus Investments, since 2007.  Rhombus Investments has a diverse portfolio of investments, ranging from IT, ITES, Robotic Solutions, Medical Diagnostics, HR, Hospitality and Real Estate. Currently, Amitabh is on the board of some of these companies in exec and in non-exec capacities. Apart from making investments, Amitabh works with the management teams of his investee companies to strategize and develop unique competitive advantage in the market.  Amitabh actively looks for new investments and M&A opportunities, and has access to vast network of co-investors, buyers of business, solution providers, human capital, etc.  Prior to 2007, Amitabh held senior positions with HCL, Infosys, and Xansa.

Anupama Arya
Anupama Arya

Anupama is a serial entrepreneur, business executive, technologist and angel investor.  Prior to founding Mobera Systems, Anupama co-founded a venture-backed company in Silicon Valley. She was also involved in doing a roll up of IT service companies in the Bay Area.

Before starting on the entrepreneurial career, Anupama led many Software Development and Architecture initiatives at Lucent Technologies and Synoptics / Bay Networks (Now Nortel Networks). She also led the early stage seeding and technology licensing effort at Bay Networks.  Anupama has taught topics on advanced communication technologies at UC Berkeley and San Jose State Universities.

Anupama is the recipient of the "Athena India Leadership Award" and the "All India Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur Award" by the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India.

Anupama is an active member of Forum for Woman Entrepreneurs; is a Charter Member of TiE; member of the Executive Committee of the Indian Angel Network; advisor to VC funds; and, Chairperson of Chandigarh chapter of CII-Yi.

Widely traveled, Anupama has spoken at a number of industry events, symposium and standard body meetings.  Anupama has been profiled in a number of media articles and most recently she was featured on CNBC "Young Turks" program.

Anurag Jain
Anurag Jain

Anurag Jain leads Perot Systems’ Consulting and Applications Solutions Group and Insurance and Business Process Solutions Group.  In these roles, he is responsible for the management, sales, and operations for these groups. 

Mr. Jain has more than 15 years of management, operations, consulting and business start-up experience. 

Mr. Jain began his career as a management consultant with Gemini Consulting, where he launched wireless operations for telecom carriers worldwide.  He then founded two India-based outsourcing businesses.  Mr. Jain co-founded and served as head of operations for Brigade Corporation, a customer support company with 1,300 customer support employees across centers in the , Europe, and .  Mr. Jain then founded Vision Healthsource, a businesses focused on providing outsourcing services to healthcare providers and payers that was sold to Perot Systems in 2003.  Since 2003, Mr. Jain has been a senior leader of Perot Systems. 

From 2003 to 2005, he was a member of the Healthcare unit’s leadership team, where he had direct responsibility for business process outsourcing sales and operations and helped the organization to develop and operate integrated BPO and technology solutions.  In 2006, Mr. Jain led Perot System’ successful entrance into the Life Insurance industry, where Perot Systems today provides a wide range of technology and policy administration solutions.  He is also the architect of Perot Systems’ state of the art and comprehensive workflow management system. 

Mr. Jain holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.S. degree in electronics and electrical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani, .  With his in-depth background and thought leadership in establishing globally-delivered workflow-system-based operations, he speaks at a numerous key business conferences each year.

Dan Sandhu

Dan has extensive experience in leading portfolios in business consulting, project, media and technology businesses across Asia, Europe and the United States. He has been involved in a number of start-ups both in the UK and India, being instrumental in institutional fund raising rounds and managing investor relationships while building the businesses.

Dan started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he qualified as a chartered accountant, based out of the UK and Hong Kong. He moved to Mitsui Babcock as a Commercial Manager overseeing capital projects in China as well as managing relationships with financial institutions in Europe, Asia and the US.

Later he joined a media company managing commercial contracts as well as scouting new business opportunities in Russia, Poland, Romania and Greece. He met the founding team of a UK startup outsourcing business, 7C during this period. As Finance Director at 7C, he was part of the executive team that led this startup to a 2,500 strong organization. After leading the financial and commercial functions in 7C, where he was instrumental in raising seed and venture funds, he was also responsible for setting up BPO operations for 7C across the UK, Italy and India.

Dan moved to India as the India CEO for 7C in 2001 where GE Equity was a strategic investor. 7C was acquired by Vertex in December 2002. As the CEO of Vertex India, he led the business from startup to a team of more than 2,700. He travelled extensively between the UK, US, India and S.E. Asia, liaising with clients and partners. He stepped into the role of Chairman in 2006. Vertex was acquired by a Private Equity consortium led by Oak Hill Capital, in 2007. Dan remained as chairman until 2008. During this period Dan played a key role as an industry opinion maker being a member of the BPO Forum of Nasscom and the National ITES Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and as a regular speaker at Industry conferences in India and the UK.

Dan is currently CEO at ACIS, a UK based technology products business providing real time location based information to the travel sector. ACIS is the market leader in the UK with operations in the US, Europe and Middle East.

He is a Charter member of TiE Delhi and an active member of the Indian Angel Network.. Dan sits on the board of a number of businesses where he is also an investor, in the media and mobile-retail sectors. He is also mentoring a number of start-up technology businesses. He is currently Regional Ambassador of UK India Business Councils (UKIBC) Next Generation Initiative.

Over recent years he has been a regular guest lecturer at some of the top Indian Business Schools, such as, FORE School of Management, IIPM and MDI Gurgaon as well as being regularly quoted in the press and media. He was profiled by CNBC and was on the Q&A session with Bill Gates on his visit to India. He was also a regular columnist for the Financial Express.

In the past, Dan has managed to promote rock bands (while at Leeds Business School) and has also launched a Radio Station in London! He is married with three children and spends any free time traveling with them.

He is also an alumnus of the Indian Business School Executive Management Programme.

Deep is the pioneer of Online Travel in India. His company, MakeMyTrip.com is the dominant player in the travel industry and also the largest ecommerce business in India. Deep established the company in April 2000 by drawing on his experience from successful stints at GE Capital, AMF Bowling Inc. and ABN AMRO Bank.
Under his stewardship, MakeMyTrip.com has grown rapidly to become thelargest online travel agency in India and also one of the largest travel companies in the country. The company is on track to achieve sales of Rs. 2500Cr. and revenues of Rs. 225Cr. in the current fiscal.

Deep is a member of the Executive Council of Nasscom and chairs the Nasscom Internet Working Group. He is also a Charter Member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) and serves on the Board of TiE New Delhi. Deep is a member of CII's Tourism sub-committee and a regular speaker at internet and travel conferences. He currently serves as an Independent director on IndiaMart.com, a leading B2B website. Deep is a founding member of "I am Gurgaon", an NGO focused on the improving the quality of life in Gurgaon.

Deep holds an MBA (PGDM) degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (1992) and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi (1990). Deep's interests include adventure sports, swimming, yoga, quizzing and travelling to places off the beaten path.
