Jai Saboo
Jai is a serial entrepreneur, continuing to seek and tap technology and ‘old economy’ opportunities in the US and India. He started his entrepreneurial career in 1993, launching Concept Software, a software services firm that specialized in large high-end client/server systems for Fortune 500 clients. He sold Concept Software in 1999 and subsequently co-founded Installation Included Inc. in 1999, serving as its CTO and directing the developing its state-of-the-art IT systems for logistics support, and helping the company raise more than $20M in funding.
Since then he has continued to leverage his strong understanding of Indian and US business perspectives, his strong business network in India and the US, and his in-depth knowledge of the IT and business process outsourcing industries to advise and build new ventures. His current business interests include Saboo Coatings Ltd., a high-end specialty industrial coatings manufacturing company that seeks to leverage US-based university research in combination with manufacturing facilities in Chandigarh India to tap the burgeoning Indian and Asian markets; Eigen Precision Ltd. a high-precision tool-room and outsourced design and manufacturing company in Bangalore India; and Harmonia Inc., a technology company focused on the development of XML-based visualization and HCI development technologies based out of Blacksburg and McLean VA. He is also involved with the Connexity Group to tap specialized knowledge based outsourcing opportunities in specific industries or industry segments such as legal work and human resources management.
He is an advisor, stockholder and board member in several other companies in the retail, manufacturing, and technology spaces.
Jai has completed an MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and was honored by the University as a distinguished alumnus and member of the Ut Prosim Society. Jai is a Fellow of the Wharton School, and is completing his Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Jai is also a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation.
