Mohit Goyal
Mr. Goyal has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry. He was the cofounder of IIS Infotech Ltd and Scicom Technologies P. Ltd and served on their boards since inception. Mohit is an IIT Madras alumni with over 30 years experience in the IT industry. He joined IBM in 1971 as a Data Processing Representative and was awarded the International Recognition Award in his first year at an annual event covering IBM's entire South East Asian Region. He was promoted as IBM's Resident Manager for Nepal in 1975 with overall responsibilities for IBM’s operations and business there. In mid 1978, with IBM’s decision to withdraw from India, he joined ICL, UK’s Indian subsidiary, ICIM, as Sales Manager, Western Region, based in Bombay. He later took over their Northern Region operations as Senior Region Manager. He left ICIM early 1989 to co-found IIS Infotech Ltd., a software company focussed on high quality, offshore, India based software project services for overseas clients. IIS gained international recognition for its initiatives in quality and off shore service delivery. It had grown to 1200 employees by 1998 when it was acquired by the UK based, publicly traded FI Group plc, later renamed as Xansa plc. Mohit continued to serve on their Board till 2006. Meanwhile he had co promoted Scicom Technologies, which has a more specialised, scientific based service delivery model. Mohit is active as an angel investor and Tie mentor and his hobbies are golf, travel and reading.
