Mr. Shastri co-founded PSi, Inc., an investment advisory firm incorporated in New York with an associated company in India. PSi has assisted a wide range of international investors in India, including both strategic investors and private equity firms, in identifying opportunities in India. Mr. Shastri serves on the boards of several companies, including that of Vickers Systems India Ltd., a subsidiary of Eaton Corporation (NYSE: ETN). He is a director of and major investor in two fast growing IT-enabled service companies, SmartAnalyst Inc. and DesignPresentation Associates, Inc. He is also a member of the Indian Venture Capital Association.
Mr. Shastri spent several years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York, and Bain & Co. in Boston. He holds an M.B.A. with honors from the Wharton School, and a B.Sc. with honors in applied mathematics from Yale University.
Mr. Shastri has an interest in game theory and competitive strategies. He also enjoys writing, and regularly reaches approximately 400,000 readers through his monthly column in BusinessWorld (India’s leading business magazine). He has also contributed to numerous other publications, including Business Today, The Economic Times, and Business Standard.
