Rohit Chand

Rohit has over thirty five years of experience in the IT Services Industry. He has a Bachelor's Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, USA.

Rohit started his career in software development in 1970 in the U.S. and later moved to India to head the information technology division of Computronics India. In 1985, Rohit ventured out on his own and through a series of acquisitions and mergers co-founded IIS Infotech Ltd., one of India's foremost software companies, of which he was the Executive Chairman. IIS was bought over by the FI Group Plc. (now Xansa Plc.), which is a UK-based multinational and Rohit exited the company. Thereafter, Rohit co-founded Infinity Venture Fund and bought a significant stake in Axis-IT&T and contributed to its growth and diversification. Axis-IT&T is currently focused on the Engineering Design domain. Rohit has significant strategic investments in Cyber Media, Khandwala Securities (an A Category Merchant Bank), Elysium Pharmaceuticals, Mark Pi (a Chinese restaurant Chain) and Bakers Circle and assists these companies in their policy formulations. Rohit is a recipient of the IIT Delhi Alumni award for “Outstanding Contribution to National Development” and has also been awarded “The Amity Global Corporate Excellence Award”. Rohit is currently the Executive Chairman of Axis-IT&T.
