An academician turned entrepreneur, Ajay became part of the IT industry after a Ph.D. in Physics, and a couple of years of teaching & research in areas of Physics & Computer Science. The years between 1987 and 1994 were spent with Tata Unisys - contributing to the success of the organization with its customers in the US, Europe, and India.
An urge to build something grounds up made Ajay join an IT Services Startup (Velocient) in 1994, and an internet solutions company (NetAcross) in 1999 - both in CTO equivalent roles. In June 2000 Ajay founded - Alletec (www.alletec.com) - a Business Applications company. Alletec has been amongst the largest and the most prominent providers of Microsoft Business Applications to midsized organizations. Built on the Microsoft Dynamics suite - Alletec's solutions are used by several hundred customers in India and internationally, including many of the leading names in Travel, eCommerce, EPC, Manufacturing, Retail, and Service industry. Over the last decade the company did 3 small acquisitions, raised some funds, and gave exits to those investors. Ajay continues in his role as the CEO of Alletec.
The urge to do something more impactful for society triggered Ajay to start working on a HealthTech Startup. HEALNT is an Electronic Medical Records platform - targeted at the unorganized health sector. The platform with its two apps - Healnt (for patients) & HealntMD (for doctors) - now aligns with the government's National Digital Health Mission.
