Alok Sharma

It's been exciting 23 years in IT & Consumer Electronics industry. Best described as a rewarding journey that allowed me to work in various roles in consumer markets, direct account sales, industry development, developer programs, channel management, retail management and general management positions with global organizations. The bug for entrepreneurship then bit me finally in 2009. I and a bunch of very smart fellow entrepreneurs have focused on funding and supporting exciting start-ups through Nature Ecoventures. Some of them are namely Tech Live Connect, Vittal Innovation City, Allgreen Ecotech, Proficio Business Solutions, Suventures and Cloudatix. Prior to these ventures, I was heading Apple India for 5 years, wherein the revenue grew from <$10 million to over $100 million in that time frame. It was a joy setting up retail, distribution and enterprise business for Apple in India, and build a balanced portfolio of Macs and iPods. Prior to Apple, I served as the Director, Partner Development (South Asia) for Sun Microsystems based out of Singapore and Director Channels for India. My tenure of 8 years at Sun was spent building the Sun channel structure in India, and later helped bring those best practices across South Asia. I started my career at Wipro, and worked 5 years there. At the time of leaving I was the regional Sales Manager at Wipro, responsible for a line of business for Northern India.

While many sales and business awards came my way at Wipro, Apple and Sun, the most rewarding part of the 21 years was building a long and mutually rewarding relationships with my colleagues and partners.
