My name is Dakshdeep Singh. I graduated from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science with a focus on finance and accounting. Thereafter I moved to New York and worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in their Capital Markets Team with my primary client being Goldman Sachs.
In 2006, I moved back to India and co-founded a niche real estate company Parkwood Developers Private Limited/Parkwood Group which invests and develops niche real estate projects. Currently we are developing a residential group housing project in Mohali, 2 group housing projects in Gurgaon, an IT Park in Gurgaon and several high end apartments in South Delhi. My role involves looking at potential land acquisition opportunities, appointment of consultants for the project, sales and marketing of the projects, and taking care of the day to day operations and finance activities which are being done by the respective teams. In 2007, I was able to raise $5 million from Pramerica ASPF II Cyprus Holdings Limited for our Mohali Project.
My family background has been in Banking. My family were promoters of the erstwhile Bank of Punjab Limited. In 2005, Bank of Punjab Limited was merged with Centurion Bank of Punjab which is now part of HDFC Bank Limited.
