Being a big believer in the Indian Consumption story, Hitesh founded FoodIndex Restaurants Pvt Ltd in Nov 2013 which conceptualized and developed brand Khans, an Indian Quick Service Restaurant in Rolls – Curries – Biryani space. It currently has 5 outlets across food court, takeaway and delivery-only models
Between Jan – November 2013, Hitesh was an Investor / Executive Director on the board of Impresa Hospitality which owns and operates a Lebanese QSR brand Maroosh where-in he co-led the day-to-day business affairs of the Company and was instrumental in franchisee acquisitions which led the Company raise US$3M VC round facilitating his exit to start his own venture.
Between 2007 -12, Hitesh was a Vice President with New Silk Route Private Equity, US$1.4 billion Asia focused growth capital fund and led investments worth US$200M notably in Café Coffee Day and Platform Gastronomy (which owns leading regional brands such as Moshes, Adigas)
Hitesh received an MBA in Finance from S.P. Jain Institute of Management; Fundamentals in PE from IAPEI, Hong Kong and completed his Masters in Commerce from University of India. He is a member of Indian Angel Network and Mumbai Angels
