Ishan Singh

Mr. Singh is founder of Re Capital Ventures which invests in real estate and is an active angle investor. From 2006 to 2012, he developed a 500,000 sf portfolio of commercial real estate. Back in action after taking two years off to travel to 25 countries, he has invested 3 tech start-ups since January – Babychakra,
Massblurb, Mistag.

Prior, as a founding team member at WNS Global Services, Mr. Singh was responsible for the transition of the former back office of British Airways to a leading provider of third party outsourcing services. WNS has grown from 800 employees in 2002 to over 25,000 in 2012. It listed on the NYSE in 2006 with a $2 billion market cap.

Post his MBA, Mr. Singh started his career with Reckitt Benckiser (UK), but gave that up to move to New York in 2006 spending 5 years with AXA / Equitable where he won several awards including “Rookie of the Year”. At age 27 while working full time with AXA/ Equitable he founded a financial software company that realized $3 m in revenue prior to its sale in 2001 and an internet firm-eRSVP.com where he made a 4x in 14 months.

He won medals for excellence in academics and sports in high School. In his A levels, was in top 10% of all students in India in business studies. He earned his MBA with commendation from Manchester Business School (UK). He holds a Certificate in CRM from Information Technology Institute at New York University and has attended executive education at Harvard Business School.

He is the 5th generation of his family to have graduated from St. Stephens College in New Delhi. Two of his uncles have served in the central cabinet in India. Ishan is a member of the Mumbai Angels, Delhi Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization, and a Charter Member at TiE – The Indus Entrepreneurs where he helped set up the New York office in 1999. A financial planner by training he is also a member
of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (UK).

 

He enjoys traveling (has visited 50+ countries), outdoor activities and water sports.
