Mohit Mutreja is the Managing Director and Founder of AlphaGrep Securities, a financial services firm focused on algorithmic trading in all asset classes on global exchanges. AlphaGrep, with its offices in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hong Kong and Singapore, is one of the largest firms by volumes on Indian exchanges and has significant market share on several large global exchanges as well. Prior to founding AlphaGrep, he was a trader and quantitative researcher at hedge funds D.E. Shaw and Citadel in the US. Mohit is also a Director at Vinati Organics, a specialty chemicals manufacturing firm listed on NSE and BSE. Mohit is an active angel investor and member of Mumbai Angels; and has invested in tech companies focused on advertising, retail and health care. Mohit graduated summa cum laude from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology at the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) with a B.S. in Economics (Finance) and B.S.E in Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics.
