Nagendra P Bandaru

Nag is currently the Chief Executive of Wipro BPS and member on the leadership team at Wipro. He is also a board member at HPS, Opus . As the Chief Executive of Wipro BPS where he manages the global P/L of over 1 billion USD and runs an operation with over 45000 employees across 32 global locations. Nag transformed Wipro’s BPS into a robust profitable volume growth in the last three years with over 70% of revenue coming from BpaaS. He is instrumental in building robotics , AI and the next generation digital technologies into the BPS arm and at Wipro Ltd, thus making Wipro BPS a strong player.

 

He has extensive experience in integration of M&A, valuation , business transformation and turn arounds. He was instrumental in undertaking some of the largest M&A in the history of Wipro with the acquisitions of HPS( a US based Healthcare Public /Private Exchange ) a 450 mn USD buy and integrating it successfully . The acquisition of Opus a Mortgage backed securities risk assessment provider. He played a key role in the  integration of  Wipro info crossing a 600mn acquisition of Wipro in the datacenter business.

 

 

He has over 22+ years of global industry experience with stints across Europe, US and UK. He has  significant understanding of  varied industries , technologies  and has been with Wipro for over 19  years.

 

At Wipro, Nag was instrumental in starting many new businesses and in successfully transforming challenging businesses.

 

Earlier to this role, he undertook varied roles at Wipro in a wide spectrum of technologies from internet to telecom to product Engineering,  Knowledge services  &  business services as the global head of Insurance vertical ,  as the leader of  Wipro’s foray into Digital technologies and bootstrapped a new business  -Wipro Mobility Solutions.  As the leader for  Wipro’s data center business, Wipro Infocrossing and built a robust delivery model transforming IFOX. As the global head of sales for Wipro BPO transforming the revenue model and as the global head of telecoms in Europe, ecommerce business units in Europe.

 

Before Wipro, he was with Tata consultancy Services and for over 4 years he ran large complex change programs as Program Manager/delivery leader in the areas of back office and front office functions for depositories, custodial services, stock broking and stock lending functions in the securities and capital markets industry.

 

Nag  started his career  as an entrepreneur and an equity dealer-broker and ran his own stock broking firm for over 4 years at HSE, Hyderabad.

 

Nag is an active angel with investments in over 25 companies across the globe with several exits and a member of Indian Angel Network.

 

Interests & Social Causes

 

Currently, he is an active member of the Mayor business and industry council at Frisco, TX and is a member on the board of Trustees at Frisco Sister cities international. Sister Cities International is a non-profit citizen diplomacy network seeking stronger economic and cultural ties at the municipal level between US and international communities and is founded by President Eisenhower.

 

Nag is actively involved with various schools in PISD and FISD in Collin County and in helping the youth to contribute more to the America’s economy. He is currently playing an active role in various trusts that are promoting American students welfare, grooming young entrepreneurs and enhancing American education system.

 

Nag is also involved with various charities in the US and in the UK as a volunteer and contributor.

 

Academics:

He is a Nuffic Fellow in International relations from the Amsterdam Law School, University of Amsterdam with a specialization in International trade law (LLM).

And, also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from TAPMI , Manipal , Bachelors of Law and Bachelor of Science (Physics) Degrees.
