Naresh has been a CEO, Investor and Advisor to Entrepreneurs in Asia since 2006.

Naresh is currently CEO of Jmatek since April 2013 through a management buy-in (MBI).  In this role, Naresh is helping build Jmatek as a global leader in fast-growing niche of portable air cooling.  Naresh is also an active investor/advisor to early stage companies through his investment firm - La Rochelle Ventures Ltd.

During 2006-12, Naresh was President - Asia Pacific with Belden Inc., an NYSE-listed technology company. Naresh joined Belden as Global Head of Business Development in March 2006, and co-led Belden's transformation from a Western Specialty Cable company to a Global Automation Technology company.

Previously, Naresh spent 6 years with McKinsey & Company in New York area, advising corporations and private equity firms on variety of business issues. Naresh started his career with Schlumberger’s electronics business in France, and held several positions in France/India over 6 years.

Naresh has a B.Tech. in Computer Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.  Naresh completed MBA from Darden Business School at University of Virginia (UVa), where he received the coveted William M. Shermet award for academic excellence and responsible competitive spirit; and was elected to the Raven Society, one the oldest and most prestigious honorary society at University of Virginia.

Naresh is a member of several organizations promoting entrepreneurship and education, and has been a guest speaker at many conferences and events on growth, innovation and entrepreneurship. He has been a member of Indian Angel Network (IAN); Charter Member of TiE, the largest network of entrepreneurs for promoting entrepreneurship globally; and has served on the Board of TiE Hong Kong. Naresh serves on the Parent Advisory Group of Hong Kong International School (HKIS); is a member of the Board of Trustee of the Darden Business School, and co-Chairs its Global Advisory Council.

In December 2009, Naresh was awarded the “Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award” by Enterprise Asia for “outstanding performance and tenacity in developing successful businesses within the region”.
