Prakash VGN is an entrepreneur, investor and a passionate learner.
He began his working life as a Mathematics teacher in a school in Andhra Pradesh. He went on to represent teacher secretary for the Municipal Teachers Association for 3 years He has also coached several students for Navodaya entrance examination of whom over a hundred were selected for admission, which was rarity.
In 1996, he decided to quit his government job and shift to Bangalore to venture into precision component manufacturing along with his brother. Later in 1998 along with 3 other Co-founders started a grain processing and equipment manufacturing-Milltec Machinery. Under the board’s leadership, it went on to become one of the top 3 firms in this sector (this being the only Indian firm).He was the director of Finance and Administration in the board managed company. In 2008, he graduated from IIM, Bangalore – Executive Management Program for Entrepreneurs and Family business. In 2013 he sold his stake and exited Milltec Machinery group of companies, which had a group turnover of @ 200 Crores then.
Having risen from humble beginnings, he strongly advocates contribution to the society. He has been an active member of the Rotary club for more than twenty years, especially the inter orphanage programs held. Under his leadership, his schoolmates have formed as association, which conducts annual eye camps in AP & has assisted more than 4500 eye operations so far.
At present he manages his family office of investments. He is excited about mentoring young entrepreneurs with his knowledge and experience.
