Rajan Pandhare

Rajan Pandhare is currently the Chairman and Co-Founder of Irene Healthcare, a chain of secondary care hospitals.

Rajan has nearly two and half decades of experience in the information technology, not for profit, healthcare and renewable energy sectors in the USA, Europe and India. Rajan has successfully led software services firms and founded two technology companies in USA and Europe. In addition, he has served as the Director of Business to Business Ventures of a global oil and gas exploration firm and Head of Sales, Marketing and Product Management for a private equity funded European business process outsourcing company. Rajan was also the Chairman and Co-founder of Kalpan Hydro, a renewable energy aggregator funded by two private equity groups. He sold the business to a leading energy company in 2011.

Rajan has also served as Deputy COO of President Clinton’s HIV/AIDS Initiative. He was also the Country Director for India and Cambodia, and supported the expansion of the Clinton Foundation’s HIV/AIDS Initiative's activities across Africa and Asia. He has also been a member of the Board of Trustees of Care International UK. Rajan has also been the Vice Chairman of Imperial Innovations India (i2india), a joint venture of Imperial College UK for India. I2india has focused on commercialising intellectual property created in educational and research institutions of India. Rajan has also been a Board Member and Trustee of The Children’s investment Fund Foundation (www.ciff.org) , a 4billion USD foundation focused on addressing the educational, health, and water and sanitation needs of children in India. He has also been on the board of GreenInfra, a IDFC funded renewable energy company.

 

 

Rajan is currently a Board Member of Emergent Ventures India Private Limited (www.emergent-ventures.com) a private equity backed carbon advisory and asset management business. Rajan has a MS from USA and is a citizen of UK and resident of India and USA.
