A First generation entrepreneur, graduated from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, having a diverse corporate experience of 16 years. He initiated his career as a Management Trainee with Godrej and moved up the career ladder to the position of Director Surgical for Bausch & Lomb, where he headed the surgical business department for India and SAARC countries till 2007.
The thought of providing superior eye care remedial solutions to the masses excited him so much that he co-founded Eye-Q, a super specialty eye hospital in 2007 along with a group of leading medical practitioners. Eye-Q is the dynamic new code in super-specialty eye care. It covers everything, from maintaining optimum vision, preventing deterioration to correcting vision related problems. It is a brand well known in the industry and has been twice supported by PE funding by Song Investment Advisor’s, Nexus Helion Venture Partners & IFC.
Over the years, he and his team has worked passionately in spearheading the expansion of Eye-0 hospitals in North & west India and successfully turned it into a chain of 30 effectively running hospitals with a Vision of providing world class eye care solutions at affordable prices in Tier 2 -3 towns. To Eye-Q, Rajat brings his rich experience and vast knowledge of medical industry landscape of working with various prominent international brands. Eye Q has been awarded "The Best Eye Care Company" award by Frost & Sullivan for the year 2012
As an entrepreneur, Rajat’s mission is to provide full range of medical and surgical eye care and optical services to patients of all ages by expanding to a chain of 100 hospitals by the year 2020. He has shared his intellectual knowledge by being a speaker on platforms like: Tycoon 2010, Sankalp Investor's Summit, VC Circle Health Care Summit and Various M.B.A. Institutes.
