Rajeev Chopra

Rajeev is a senior corporate executive who has worked in multiple industries and geographies with industry leaders such as Philips, Cisco, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and Reckitt & Colman. His last role before venturing out on his own was Global CEO of the Home Lighting Business Group in Royal Philips, based in Europe. Prior to this, he was the MD and Vice Chairman of Philips India, a position he held with distinction from 2011- 2013. In addition to India and Europe, he has been based in Singapore and Shanghai in the past.
Rajeev is passionate about new technologies and business models- over the last year, the team he led was involved in cutting edge work in developing Lighting for the 'Internet Of Things'. He pioneered the introduction of LED Lighting in India as President of the Lighting division of Philips India from 2009-2010; he also drove the 'Go Rural' initiative in Philips India in which the company developed new business models to be successful in rural India.
Rajeev currently serves as member of the Advisory Board at the Wharton School Of Business (Executive Education Program). He is a past President of ELCOMA (the apex Lighting industry association in India); he has also served in multiple committees in CII and FICCI on Policy (the MNC committee), Healthcare and IT.
Rajeev is an engineer from IIT Kanpur, and an MBA from Tulane University (New Orleans). He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from the Wharton School Of Business.
