Mr Ram Walase is Managing Director & CEO at VBHC Value Homes Pvt Ltd, a pioneer in the field of affordable housing in India and focused on delivering value homes within appropriate budgets. VBHC Value Homes has acquired special significance as the government aspires to provide housing for all and classifies it as the infrastructure sector. Over the last few years, it has delivered more than 5000 affordable homes around the country in peri-urban areas of Bangalore, Mumbai, NCR and Chennai. Mr Walase has more than 20 years of all-round experience in project conceptualization, project execution & operations, project finance, equity investments and policy advisory in real estate, infrastructure and financial services. Previously, Mr Walase was Managing Director at IL&FS Township & Urban Assets Ltd, an entity mandated to develop urban infrastructure and real estate assets such as Indias first international financial center (GIFT City), sports infrastructure, commercial office space and housing projects for the Group. In his other roles, Mr Walase has worked across functional and sectoral spread of infrastructure development & financing and was involved in incubation of new business verticals, consolidation of businesses, induction of private equity investors, public private partnerships and project financing. Earlier in his career, Mr Walase has worked as a consultant at A F Ferguson & Co and at CRISIL Ltd.
