S. Durgaprasad (fondly called DP) is the co-founder and global Chief Executive Officer of Bahwan CyberTek Group. DP has a proven record of 20+ years of accomplishments in leadership positions. He had a distinguished career with HCL in India for over 12 years before joining the Bahwan Group in 1994. DP has excelled in motivating his teams in reaching aggressive goals successfully. He plays a lead role in assisting the Government of Oman in achieving their goal of creating a knowledge society, through his active participation in their strategic committees and joint initiatives. Under his leadership, the BCT Group has received a number of Awards and Recognitions from large organizations like Deloitte, NASSCOM, Red Herring and United Nations. His keen interest in achieving international quality standards has led Bahwan CyberTek to be one among the elite group of first 50 IT companies in the world, to be assessed at CMMi Level 5.
The International Who's Who Historical Society recognized DP in the International Who's Who of 2003, “for demonstrating exemplary professional achievement and for his distinguished contribution to the IT community”. DP was featured among the '30 Top Business Leaders Of Oman' by the Oman Establishment for Press, Publication and Advertising (OEPPA) it its book on the 'Top Business Leaders: Special Focus on 40 years of Omani Renaissance'. Recently, DP received the 'Social Innovation Entrepreneur' Award from the Asian CIO Leadership Group. An Engineer from College of Engineering, Anna University, DP did his management development training at Kellogg and XLRI.
