Shaurya Veer Himatsingka currently serves as the Deputy Managing Director for India Carbon Limited and enjoys a strong entrepreneurial, finance and management base. At a Group level, he is directly responsible for Corporate Finance, Strategy, New Projects, Mergers-Acquisitions & Joint Ventures.
He has been instrumental in providing the Group with a new and vibrant growth oriented focus and has been engaged with domestic acquisitions and establsihment of Greenfield Projects. Furthermore, he has diversified into the establishment of a Venture Builder focused on the Technology & Mobile space, and is also undertaking Real Estate and IT Infrastructure development projects wherein he is currently leading his team to develop and establish North East India’s first Special Economic Zone in Guwahati, Assam.
At the Venture Builder being run under the banner “iExponential”, Shaurya Veer has lead investments in in sectors such as Food Tech, Hyper Local Services, Healthcare, Mobile Health, Education, Passenger Connectivity, IoT and News & Opinions.
He has obtained his Master's in Business Administration from The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2005 and was one of the youngest members in his graduating class. He also obtained his Bachelors in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University and attained Specializations in the fields of Finance, Operations and Computing & Information Technology. He has excelled in all spheres during his five year stint at Carnegie Mellon and above and beyond receiving Dean’s Honors at both the Masters and Undergraduate level has been awarded with Carnegie Mellon’s Senior Leadership Award and the prestigious Virginia Bloom Scholarship Award.
Passionate about making the world a better place Shaurya Veer has served as the National Chairman for CII–Young Indians, an organisation with 37 Chapters, having over 13,000 Members, and based on Nation Building and Youth & Thought Leadership. In addition, he has palyed a vital role in the Business Leaders Group to address Climate Change issues, and has recently completetd his stint as the Chairman of CII Eastern Regions’s Family Business Committee. Shaurya has also served as the Chairman of Yi’s One Million Tree Project. Furthermore, he has had the unique distinction of serving as the President of US based National Society of Collegiate Scholars in which he continues as a Honorary Member and is associated with the Phi Kappa Gamma Honors Society in the USA. Shaurya Veer has recently been honoured by the World Economic Forum as one of only four Indians to be a part of its Young Global Leaders, Class of 2016. Only 121 Individuals (inclduing Scientists, Politicians, Business Owners, Entrepreneurs, etc) from across the Globe were selected for this honour.
