Shreyans Khemka is an entrepreneur and a second-generation family business member specializing in building materials and industrial rubber products for various industries including infrastructure, railways, defense and food processing. With businesses spread across India and the Middle East, Shreyans was responsible for the overall management of the family business in Dubai with a concentration in new business development. He moved to Dubai in 2010 to set up the manufacturing facility to cater to clients in the Middle East, North Africa and CIS region. During his time in Dubai, Shreyans was also exposed to other facets of the business including operations, marketing and finance. He traveled extensively around the MENA region to cement relationships with the client and supplier network and struck agreements to receive technical know-how from reputed manufacturers in UK and Germany. Prior to his stint in Dubai, Shreyans was an investment banker with Credit Suisse Securities (New York) from 2008 to 2010 and worked on multiple deals including equity offerings, high yield, M&A and private placements.
Shreyans has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Economics from Columbia University (New York, class of 2008). He is currently reading for his MBA at London Business School and is expected to graduate in July 2016. With a concentration in strategy and turnaround management, Shreyans aims to go back to his family business and actively look for new opportunities for diversification in addition to looking after the family’s current business portfolio. He is passionate about innovation and is keen to invest in Indian startups with an energetic management team coupled with an attractive and scalable business model / product.
