Srinivasagopalan Chary (Gopal as known to friends and associates), is a graduate of IIM Ahmedabad and has forty years of professional experience. He was part of the four member start up team of Satyam Infoway ( now, known as SIFY) during 1996 to 2000; in year 2000, he started his own technology venture along with two co-founders, Lister Technologies Private Limited that received initial funding from ICICI Ventures. Gopal continues to be the CMD of Lister. Gopal also co-founded Caratlane Trading private Limited, an e-commerce venture for solitaire diamonds and diamond jewelry. Caratlane received several rounds of funding from Tiger Global and was subsequently acquired by Titan. Currently, Gopal is involved in setting up an affordable care multi-specialty clinic with his own funds, as part of a community, not-for-profit initiative. He has earmarked Rs 5 crores for this initiative. The clinic will be operational in 2019. Gopal lives in Chennai.
